With my recent move to Boston I can't even begin to describe all of the excitement and inspiration going on inside. Every neighborhood I explore, every corner I turn, there's something fantastic and unique. I've found numerous amounts of hidden little boutiques squished between the giant towers and pockets of quaint bookstores, bakeries, pubs, florists, and restaurants. They each have this lovely charm and effortless complimentary quality. On top of all the city allure, God's own brilliance is just a short trip away. New England is absolutely breathtaking and I can't wait to explore even more this spring and summer with hiking and camping trips. So I've decided I want to try and have more posts featuring "Local Gems." First up, Bark Decor.
Bark Decor specializes in unique designs and environmentally friendly production. This sister and sister duo give their own hug to our sweet planet by exposing their screens using the sun in their own back yard in Braintree, MA. They use water based inks and water based non-toxic solvents, recycled papers, envelopes, recycling their ink cartridges and print on sweatshop free american apparel t-shirts. Their cello packaging bags are also recyclable and they ship in recycled and recyclable cardboard mailers.I'm constantly looking for pieces, whether it be apparel, jewelery, or decor, that exude avant-garde and irk someone with interest in who I am and I feel like Bark does just that.
You can purchase these fantastic designs online at barkdecor.com. They don't currently have their retail stores listed right now but hopefully will soon. View some my favorite items below.
